Dr Ketan M Desai is a well-known and a well trusted Senior Urologist in South Mumbai. He is attached with many of the reputed hospitals in South Mumbai, which includes the likes of Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital, Jaslok Hospital, Saifee Hospital, Bhatia Hospital, Breach Candy Hospital and Wockhardt Hospital.
He has a strong academic background, he did his MCh (Urology) in October 1993 from Grant Medical College & Sir JJ Group of Hospitals, University of Bombay. He did his DNB (Surgery) in April 1991 from the National Board of New Delhi, M.S. (General Surgery) in January 1990 from Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, from University of Bombay & MBBS in October 1985 from Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, University of Bombay.
He has a vast operative experience in all Endoscopic Urological Surgeries, Open Urological Operations, Laser Endourological Surgeries, Laparoscopic Urological Surgeries and Robotic Urological Surgeries.
He received formal extensive training in performing Robotic Urological Surgery at Rosewell Park Institute of Oncology in Buffalo, USA in January 2012. He has been performing Robot-Assisted Laparoscopic Surgeries at Saifee Hospital and Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital since the inception of robots in these hospitals. He has individually performed numerous Robot-Assisted Laparoscopic Urological Surgery.
